Requirements:
- Graduation Degree in Hotel and Restaurant Management
- Any previous supervisor experience.
- 3 years’ experience in a kitchen/cook role
- Ability to communicate in a satisfactory manner, both verbal and written English.
- Ability to maintain complete knowledge of all menu and special items, prices and quality standards.
- Ability to perform job functions with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
The Role:
- The role of the back of house supervisor will be to ensure the smooth running of the BOH Operation in an organized manner, with the aim of maintaining and delivering expectations set out by the management team.
- It will be the responsibility of the BOH Supervisor to manage the back of house team through planning roasters and delegating tasks appropriately.
- Support the management team in providing a friendly, helpful and knowledgeable kitchen crew that goes above and beyond at all times.
General Duties:
- Manage the back of house production and Operation.
- Monitor- Preparation, cook and food presentation, taste maintain, quick and efficient production.
- Manage and maintain correct staffing levels.
- Maintain accurate food-ordering and stocking levels, including all kitchen materials.
- Work safely around kitchen equipment and monitor and deal with any maintenance issue.
- Manage wastage through correct product measurement.
- Strict in keeping the kitchen clean, hygienic and tidy at all the times as per Dubai municipality standard.
- Always adhere to all company policies and procedures as per SOP as well and company local policies and procedures.
- File maintenance and track record for staff related to BOH Operation.
- Involve and contribute at team meetings.
- Carry our instructions given by the restaurant manager and head office.
- Identify and take an active role in the recruitment of new staff members
- Oversees the daily receiving, storage, and preparation of all food products.
- Ensures that all food products meet company recipe specifications for preparation and quality.
- Examine and assess the quality of ingredients and presentation.
- Ensures compliance with health and safety regulations. Checking food temperatures, sanitation levels, proper storage, etc.
- Follow maintenance program and cleaning schedule.
- Notify management of any pertinent information related to shift activities.
