- Completion of secondary (12 years) technical education followed by recognized welders course.
Job Description
- Execute the activities of the assigned shift and ensure receipt of timely and accurate shift related information from pervious shift personnel
- Receive inputs on the daily activity schedule and execute work accordingly (view daily roster and execute tasks assigned accordingly)
- Receive drawing from seniors and carry out work accordingly.
- Interpret blueprints, drawings, sketches, and symbols used in plans. Lays out work and follows work orders and specifications. Seek clarifications from seniors where required
- Physically execute general duties which include metals and alloys for fabrication, assembly, construction and repair of equipment, pipes, tools and vehicle body parts etc.
- Seek inputs from seniors on operating and safety procedures of various equipment serviced and ensure adherence to these; refer to sample piece or a technical drawing to get clarity in understanding whenever required
- Use available techniques and methods identify user requirements, resolve / problems and return equipment to concerned section in serviceable condition within the defined timelines. Be able to conduct accident and general repairs on light and heavy vehicles.
- Coordinate with seniors (foreman) post completion of tasks assigned and provide updates to ensure timely updation of systems (inform seniors post completion of tasks, who will close the job cards post review of work)
- Prepare for next shift by coordinating requirements, updating requisite documents and ensuring smooth handover of duties
- Monitor escalations and resolve queries as required to ensure uninterrupted operations
- Ensure technical, safety and security standards are met through preparation for regular monitoring and surprise checks
- To carry out and complete any other reasonable request of the management of the company
