Job Description as follows:
  1.  Perform and support daily management of department duties.
  2. Carry out debriefs of all staff and ensure that paperwork is accurately and fully completed.
  3. Carry out duties in accordance with trained Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs.)Carry out security checks for each and every action.
  4. Assign work to staff as required to support the workflow and daily metrics.
  5. Support the Ops Manager by ensuring there is sufficient resourcing for your function including call outs for training needs, absence and performance management, coaching and continuous monitoring of department productivity.
  6. Support in the development of a strong culture of health and safety practices and initiatives through the company policy.
  7. Assist with the training of new drivers or team leaders to ensure they have the right knowledge to carry out tasks required.
  8. Own the total tracking, trending and reporting of departmental metrics.
  9. Tracking and reporting of hours and schedules for staff.
  10. Review and update SOPs and metrics as required.
  11. Follow up and solve process-related area issues as required.
  12. Improve flow of order through the area.
  13. Take complete ownership of the team’s fleet management
  14. Proactive in building means and ways to achieve and exceed the assigned goals.
  15. Manage customer service escalations and interface with driver and customer where necessary.
  16. Be able and willing to work to flexible schedules/shifts and commit the time required to get the job done.
