Job Responsibilities
- Identification and establishment of local, regional and international supply sources in order to identify the most competent vendors.
- Participate in the pre-qualification procedure to include Vendors
- Respond to procurement requests by monitoring the process of developing purchasing proposals / purchase orders, with recommendations, for consideration by the approval authorities; includes developing specifications, inviting bids and ensuring evaluation of the same.
- Monitor / assess performance and build relationships with key, competent & reliable suppliers
- Work closely with Administration & Finance departments to meet the purchasing needs of the employees and departments
- Ensure all payments are made to relevant suppliers / vendors as per the agreed payment terms in a timely manner
- Negotiate best possible purchasing terms with vendors and suppliers in conjunction with senior management as well as other relevant departments
- Negotiate with key suppliers on contract issues as required Skills
