Achieving the budgeted figures for assigned merchandise group
Building and managing successful range within merchandise group throughout the year
Sourcing new and innovative products in line with the range plan, the company's strategic objectives and current marketing activity
Sourcing the products domestically and internationally via attendance at trade shows, conventions and vendor/factory visits
Securing the best possible combination of cost price and terms for purchasing of product
Seeking alternative sources of supply where current vendor performance is unsatisfactory
Working closely with vendors on ensuring that products supplied are suitable for the local market
Setting all retail prices within assigned merchandise group to ensure compliance with the company marketing/pricing strategy and margin expectations
Liaising with marketing and operations for planning of promotional activity

Requirements:

Preferred Filipino Nationality
Educated to degree level, ideally in Automotive or other related subjects is essential
Previous category buying experience is a plus
Knowledge, understanding and interest in hardware and DIY products is very beneficial
