Requirements:
- Chartered Management Accountant / or similar Accountancy qualification
- Internal Audit Certification – Desirable
- 2 – 3 years experience in a similar role
- Verbal and written communication
- Analytical and report writing skills
- Manipulation of financial data
- Good computer knowledge
Major Responsibilities
- Control bank balances, ensure that all day-to-day transactions are recorded.Make cash transfers as required, updating account information and checking reports to ensure process has been completed successfully.
- Manage bank facilities, to effectively ensure liquidity, making necessary recommendations to Finance Manager if renegotiation is required.
- Implement budget control; check actual against budgeted verify reason and provide report.
- Consolidate all budgets received from departments to provide an overall budget for the Finance Manager to present to the CEO.
- Coordinate with external auditors ensuring that any information they require is made available.
- Support the implementation of the accounting policies, procedures and rules. Establish and maintain financial and accounting systems.
- Ensure that all documentation is retained for the required legal period, and that an effective filing and retrieval system is maintained.
