Requirements:
The jobholder must have:
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Good knowledge of main steel machinery contracts.
- High understanding of the commercial functions.
- Full command of the English language and basic
- Knowledge of steel industry economics.
- At least five years experience in the steel industry, with previous experience in emerging markets.
- Good knowledge of the steel market.
Accountability and Responsibilities:
- Identify business opportunities.
- Promote best technology and products to clients.
- Prepare sales offers coherently to headquarter’s guidelines.
- Plan and implement local marketing strategy, including public relations.
- Plan and implement sales in the geographical area of responsibility and customer retention and development.
- Maintain, develop and update customer database.
- Maintain and develop existing and new customers through planned individual account support and liaison.
- Monitor and report on activities and provide relevant management information.
- Carry out market research, competitor and customer surveys.
- Liaise and attend meetings with other company functions necessary to perform duties and aid business and organizational developments.
In dealing, the job holder must have proven: An excellent record within the Steel industry., Excellent communication skills. Self-organization skills. Self-motivated, with influencing skills. Open approach. A team player. Ability to communicate well, laterally and vertically within an organization: able to liaise with stakeholders and capable of constructive engagement with key customers. Ability to carry out business activities in a multi-cultural environment and exercise intercultural sensitivity with the company’s socio/political environment.
