Key functions:
- Direct management of the stock in the stores
- Administer logistics aspects of stores and maintain financial discipline
The Role :
• Process purchase orders
• Receive good that are delivered to the stockroom and prepare the GRN
• Inspect quantities of products according to the order or delivery note
• Record and report damage and shortage
• Keep records at all times of documents such as charts, registers and product, supplier books to ascertain stock levels and replenish stock when necessary
• Verify requisition forms to ensure they are complete
• Record serial numbers where applicable
• Organize stock on shelves in the stockroom
• Place stock in designated areas for ongoing projects
• Monthly stock take and reconciliation
• Check/report any damaged items and return to the store manager
• Control and record stock returns and damage
• Enter stock items in the system and allocating them to the respective stores
• Prepare monthly closing reports
