Requirements:
- B.Sc. in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
- 4-6 years of commercial experience
- Experienced in tendering including quantity take offs; BOQs preparation; essential knowledge of rate analysis from first principles (star rate build-ups); submission of tenders, post tender negotiations and order finalization; pricing and resolution of variation; time extensions and claims thereof, risk assessment and management (both pre-tender and post-award); Value Engineering Analysis; presentation and negotiation of VE options. Preparation of post award tender budgets. Reviewing and updating (analyzing budgets vs. actual utilization); establishing norms/labor productivity. Finally, the incumbent would have to analyze results / output and prepare detailed progress reports, which must be well-versed in the regulations of local authorities. Knowledge of the Middle East tendering/pricing norms is also mandatory.
